Snow's Adventure: Day 9

Snow went for a wild ride today.  She fell down from her perch on the sign.  So we checked Santa's website and it said Mommy or Daddy could rescue Snow if she needed help.  So tonight she is in a much safer place on the kitchen table with a cozy blanket, eating chocolate and healing with her Magic Healing Powder.

Elf on the Shelf, day 2

All day, Lil Miss, wanted to give Snow a different crayon color to use. Lil Miss wrote a letter to Santa:

Dear Santa
New blue bike
Glowing candycane
Love PJ

Turns out Snow likes letters!  Tonight when she landed on the sparkly letters she had a letter of her own for PJ!

Thanks for your letter to Santa. I am so happy to be your elf. I love my name! Thanks for wanting to change my pink color crayon.
Snow

Premiere of our Elf

Our Santa choose this little elf for our household. It looks to me like Elf wanted to show Lil Miss how much she likes to color & cut, just like Lil Miss.  Lil Miss took one look at Elf in the morning and stated, "Her name is Snow".

What are your favorite Elf on the Shelf ideas?

Autumn begins

November is here.  In the rest of the country, the temps are dropping, the leaves are falling, and fires are starting.  Around here... not so much.  The wind is blowing, so there is that.

Remember last post, how I told you Lil Miss, has a hard time sticking with one holiday?  She strikes again!  Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Turkey and string cheese rolls, and elephant pic, and pineapple rainbows, with star shaped marshmallow clouds and sprinkles.

Triple berry yogurt topped with leaf sprinkles.  Leaf shaped cream cheese and jelly sandwiches, with a few leaf shaped cheese slices.  Welcome back to November!

Mini taco cups, in silicone muffin cups, kiwi and carrots
I got this idea from Momables. A fantastic resource!  Go check her out!

Acorn shaped ham and cheese sandwich, layer with another acorn shaped slice of ham, and cheese.  Cucumber tower with an elephant pic, green apple slices, and (because I discovered Lil Miss' friends giving her their giant bags of chips at lunch) a few Cheetos.  Just enough, I hope, to get her to decline the shared chips from her friends, because she has her own.

Finally this week, we have turkey and cheese rollups with a little cream cheese to help hold it all together.  A few Cheetos again and a chocolate filled strawberry shaped marshmallow.  Cabbage, grapes and broccoli, finish it off.

Have a great Thanksgiving everyone!

Halloween Lunches!

A little late, I know, life gets in the way of life sometimes.  So here we go-

I know, what a way to start Halloween week, with a bunny?!  My child has an issue sticking with one holiday at a time.  :)  Sticky rice, in a bunny shape, with leaf shaped sprinkles, carrots and string cheese.  Shredded chicken on the bottom with a bunny pic.

Now that is more like it!  Ghost shaped corn dog muffins, carrot sticks, apple slices with teeth and 'vamp' scratch into the skin, difficult to see but there is also cantaloupe, under the apple slices,  homemade roasted pumpkin seeds and a special Happy Halloween orange napkin.

Deviled eggs with olive bugs on top, carrots, cantaloupe, and a small corner silicon cup with candy corn.

Mini bagel peanut butter and jelly sandwich, with a jack o'lantern cheese slice, and an avocado stem, (edible markers were used to make the face). Two corner silicon comes each with cantaloupe, a tootsie roll, and finished off with a jack o'lantern pic.  Happy Halloween!

Almost Halloween Bento

If you haven't purchased or made your Halloween costumes yet, put that on your to do list for this weekend now.  Moving on to lunches this week.

Matisse and Taz started the week out with melon, spinach salad topped with roasted pumpkin seeds (from our weekend carving adventure) dip and a couple of corn veggie dog muffins.

Lil Miss is doing better, with eating two smaller snacks rather then one lunch.  So we will go with that for as long as it works!  Today she had, half an apple and a chocolate, white chocolate chip, banana muffin.  She also had red and black grapes, with a jack o'lantern cream cheese and jelly sandwich.  The face shapes are made of cheddar cheese.
Another two'fer!  On the left in the clear container, Lil miss has a row of green grapes, pb and jelly bat shaped sandwich.  I tried to make eyes that showed the red raspberry jelly below, but I was not impressed how it turned out.  Rainbow colored gold fish and a new candy corn white chocolate m and m's.  On the right, in the purple container, is turkey and cheese roll ups and half an apple.

Spinach salad and green apple halves with a red pirate sword pic, and a nutella and jelly ghost shaped sandwich.
Lil Miss was so excited about this lunch.  She made it all-by-herself.  Candy corn shaped, corn veggie dog muffins (so there is half a veggie dog in that corn muffin)! Cheddar cheese sticks, melon in a pink flower silicone cup with a chicken pic and a handful of pretzels.

Let us know if you were inspired by any of our lunches!
Enjoy!

Another week in bento bliss!

Let's get this lunch party started!

First up in Lil Miss' Goodbyn bynto, she has a pb and jelly ice cream cone shaped sandwich, heart strawberry rice treat, half a banana, cucumbers in a red silicone cup, and dip.  Clean and simple, and oh so pretty!

Matisse was going for a green theme!  Green grapes, green salad, green rice treats and salad dressing.

Still having issues getting Lil Miss to eat all (read, any) of her lunch, so this one she packed all by herself!
Green grapes, with a green pirate sword pick, pb & homemade strawberry jam, spinach and dip (her favorite!) and melon with a red pirate sword pic.

Thermos Thursday!  Oatmeal with pink and blue sprinkles, and raspberry smoothie with soy protein.

We are trying something new... again... to get Lil Miss to eat her lunch!  Instead of one lunch, and one shelf stable snack, we are packing two smaller snacks.  One for lunch time and one for snack time.  I have my fingers crossed that this one will work.  On the top, in the pink container, we have melon with sprinkles and a red pirate sword pic with a homemade corn dog muffin in a red silicone cup.  On the bottom we have grape halves with sprinkles and a blue bear pic, and a favorite at our house, the chocolate, white chocolate chip, banana muffin.

What were your lunches like this week?
Enjoy!
