Corpus Christi and some of our adventures...

I completely believe that it is not a city that entertains us, but what we put into the city that entertains us. Not many agree with me. I would say the general consensus about Corpus Christi is that it is a small uninteresting town, with limited options of entertainment. I agreed with this at some points. But having found a new resolve, and my old spirit of independence (strictly out of necessity for the time being) the girls and I had a wonderful adventure everyday we were in Corpus Christi this time.

Christmas decorating, finally.

Since we don't really spend the holidays at our house, I don't bother pulling out our decorations. What's the point? We would put them up, and then go on vacation, and have to take them down when we got home. So, we get our fill of decorating at Grams' house.

Yep, it's a gas pump.
And yes, I used it to fill up our car.

or gas pumps that you have to manually shut off.

Christmas Wrap

In the midst of the shopping, that was done mostly on-line this year, and the packing and cleaning, and holiday parties... the girls and I ordered Fred Claus, for a break from it all. The end credit music proved just as entertaining and the silly little movie itself. Enjoy!

MTACS-38 Christmas Party

I will admit I was not looking forward to attending Robert's office Christmas party. I had my reasons and among them was it was for the families: however it was in the middle of a school day. During which most of our family is in fact attending school! However, it turned out to be on a minimum (read: half) day. So with being 'fashionable' late, Audrey could attend with PJ and I, however Jazmin would not be able to, as her minimum day goes 2.5 hours longer than Audrey's. So we went. I took Apple Dumplings. I was pleasantly surprised by the good time had by all!

There were crafts, decorating a stocking, caramel apples, sumo wrestling, bounce house, and a play ground.

I consider this a success. She was interesting in him. In them both. She will now know what to expect when we have her annual picture with Santa taken, in a week or so.

And to end the afternoon, the office had a present for each child... even those that didn't attend. I was told to bring one home for Jazmin, along with the caramel apple that Audrey made specifically for her. Maybe Jazmin can re-gift the present to PJ, as none of the presents were age appropriate for anyone above 3 or 4.
